The Maverick X3 172 HP base is a great machine with good power from the factory, but whey stop there?  This 3 cylinder turbocharged motor has so much more potential!  After many hours testing on the dyno, and even more testing in the real world, we have what we believe to be the best tunes on the market for the 2018-21 X3, or 2017 models with the upgraded fuel pump.  We modify many parameters and spent a TON of time fixing a few issues we saw from the factory when cranking up the boost. Not just dyno tested! We are avid riders and like the factory, a ton of the testing is done in the field to make sure you are getting 110%.  With data logging capabilities you can't get any better testing than real world.  Often times we can make significant changes to further increase power, drivability, and feel of the machine that can never be done on the dyno. We tune to max power for the fuel \u0026amp; supporting mods.  You won't find more power no matter what others claim.  We also have a longer history than nearly all competitors of tuning CVT transmission vehicles with turbochargers. Throttle by wire limitations disabled giving wicked throttle response and power delivery (for sport mode) Torque calculations set correctly to ensure the most performance at all times Fuel tables modified to gain low end punch and safe yet powerful air\/fuel ratios Get rid of the lean punch!  The factory runs these things stupid lean when getting on boost and we fix that. Tune Levels 1-5 are developed for OEM injectors.  Tune Level 6 requires our 1200cc injectors - If selecting Level 6 \u0026amp; 1200cc injectors, all other tunes will be built for 1200cc injectors. Level 1 (91-93 Octane): Designed for a completely stock X3 on 91 octane or better.  This tune runs an average of 15-16 PSI of boost and is a very safe tune to run on even 91 oxy\/ethanol fuel.  Gains are right around 10-12 RWHP .  Many competitors only offer a max pump gas tune and that simply does not work well without having a good quality 91 non-ethanol or 93 octane fuel.  If you run into poor quality fuel, your safety circuits will pull timing based on DET and can even go into a partial limp mode dropping you down to below stock boost levels.  Our Level 1 is a great tune to have available for such an event that you get bad fuel.. it still rips and just keeps pulling all day long, but won't push the limits as much.  Works well with a 100% stock machine or with a slip-on exhaust, cat delete, full exhaust, and\/or an intake kit. Wastegate Crack Pressure: No wastegate adjustment required for 2018-21 Models (7-8 PSI). 2017 models w\/18 fuel pumps adjust 2-3 turns. Level 2 (91-93 Octane): Designed for 91-93 octane and is our max tune on the stock exhaust.  This tune is absolutely nuts for being able to run on a bone stock X3..  Boost comes on hard and keeps pulling like an animal.  Peak boost is around 17-18 PSI, and settles down to roughly 16-17 PSI .  We spent a huge amount of time tuning and reviewing logs on pump gas to squeeze everything possible on 91 pump gas, and this is it. Gains are right around 18-20 RWHP . You simply can't find a more powerful tune on a stock X3 172 base. Suggested Mods: Full exhaust, high flow intake kit, clutch kit. Wastegate Crack Pressure: No wastegate adjustment required for 2018-21 models (7-8 PSI). 2017 models w\/18 fuel pumps shorten rod 2-3 turns (7-8 PSI). Level 3 (91-93 Octane): Puts the hammer down on 91-93 octane!  Like our Level 2, this tune simply rips on pump gas but requires a full exhaust and high flow intake to run 91 octane.  If you run 93 octane (or boost your 91 to 93) you can run this tune on the factory exhaust (however you'll be leaving power on the table). It will peak around 18-19 PSI and sustain around 17-17.5 PSI .  This is a big 23-25 RWHP gain over factory. Required Mods: Full exhaust and high flow intake kit. Suggested Mods: Clutch Kit Wastegate Crack Pressure: No wastegate adjustment required for 2018-21 models (7-8 PSI). 2017 models w\/18 fuel pumps shorten rod 2-3 turns (7-8 PSI). Level 4 (98-100 Octane): Adds a bit of race fuel to the mix!   This tune is designed for 98-100 octane (will run on UTV 96) and was developed using one can of VP Octanium Unleaded to a tank of fuel.  Mixing 110 race fuel with pump gas to get 100 octane works great, just keep in mind leaded fuels decreases the life of O2 sensors when running leaded fuel consistently. This tune runs around 18-18.5 PSI and produce up to 174 RWHP ( +33-35 RWHP ) and is extremely fast. Required Mods: Full exhaust and high flow intake kit. Suggested Mods: Clutch Kit Wastegate Crack Pressure: 2018-21 models shorten rod 2 turns (9 PSI).  2017 models w\/18 fuel pump shorten rod 4-5 turns (9 PSI). Level 4AV (100LL): Same as the Level 4 tune but designed to run 100 LL AV gas found at your local airport.  This fuel has a different specific gravity with additional oxygenation and other characteristics.  Running a tune not meant for this fuel can make it run lean and therefore you will not get the full power and potential from the fuel.  This tune modifies fuel tables to be able to run 100 LL AV gas and reap all the benefits. Level 5 (110 Octane): Kill mode is here!  This tune is developed for 110 Leaded or MS109 fuel (or better).  This tune is an absolute riot and will leave others in the dust!  We throw down a huge 185-190 RWHP ( +45-50 RWHP ) with this tune at 19-20 PSI of boost, with a wicked timing curve for the big octane fuel.  This one will throw you back in the seat as soon as you get on the throttle and keep pulling for days!  Hands down, this is the highest horsepower tune possible on the factory turbo\/wastegate \u0026amp; injectors. Required Mods: Full exhaust, high flow intake kit and clutch kit. Wastegate Crack Pressure: 2018-21 models shorten rod 5 turns (10-12 PSI).  2017 models w\/18 fuel pump shorten rod 7-8 turns (10-12 PSI). Level 6 (E-85): Kill mode squared is running on corn!  This E-85 tune packs as much of a punch, if not more, as the Level 5 tune but must be used with our big 1200cc injectors due to the extra fuel demand of E-85.  This tune is an absolute riot and will leave others in the dust.  We throw down a huge 185-190 RWHP ( +45-50 RWHP ) with this tune at 19-20 PSI of boost, with a wicked timing curve for the cool burning E-85. How to: Waste Gate Adjustment All our gas tunes are available on our large injectors, so there is no need to switch.  The only reason to go big injector is if you plan on running E85.  If you don't plan on running E85, just stick with the factory injectors. Max boost levels are listed as reference only. Altitude, temperature, charge temps, intercooler temps and many other conditions play into a factor of final boost output. AA tunes do a better job of making sure you reach these levels as the factory tunes are overly safe. Our setup guideline will let you know how to set your weights for stock horsepower to 200 RWHP, 28\" - 32\" tires, 28-32\" paddle tires, different altitudes \u0026amp; more. Fully adjustable magnetic weights are easy to use, and with our special tool are also easy to adjust Adjustable from 50 to 64 grams.  Weights have more tip weight and act heavier.  This means they also accelerate and up shift much harder. Cooler running belt temps from a more efficient power transfer which results in longer belt and clutch life.  With this kit and our Stryker belts (gboost belt) we have ran thousands of hard miles in the dunes \u0026amp; trails at higher horsepower with ZERO belt failures.   Close to stock engagement which is very smooth (Higher engagement springs available if needed) Select your exact year\/model which lets us know what weights to send you as the clutch casting is different between some years and models.  2017 X3's and 2018 120HP Base X3's (Kit 108-1008-A) use the same casting, while 2018+ 172HP Base X3's along with 2019+ 120HP (Kit 108-1008-B) use the new style clutch casting.  This is a very minor change, but our weights needed slight modification to work.  If you upgraded your older style casting to a new one, please let us know in the order notes. Our Recoil clutch weights are easily adjustable with simple magnets.  They have a custom AA profile, the BEST coating on the market (nitrocarburizing) which has increased wear resistance, improved fatigue strength, and added surface lubricity. These clutch weights also offer great performance, and the ability to tune for many different applications or modification in the future, without the need to buy extra parts.  The magnetic weights are the best option to properly place the mass where we need it on the weight for best performance for your application. Our special clutch tool, clutch compression tool and clutch puller are needed to install this clutch kit.  Find these tools HERE Target peak RPM for stock or any other tune with the rev limit set between 8300-8700 RPM is 7700-7900 RPM.  For AA tunes and other tunes with an 8800-9000 RPM rev limit, target should be 7900-8300.  Testing should be done on a somewhat level ground from a 10-20mph roll on to full WOT and RPM checked as passing by 55-60MPH. Lock \u0026amp; Load!  This Stage 2 kit provide a big increase in horsepower and torque simplified into an easy package.  Tuning, clutching exhaust, and intake on the 172 base HP X3 go together like high powered rifles and tannerite.  Together they pack a huge punch for the ultimate power gains to the wheels.  The tuning allows for great power depending on the level tune, supporting mods \u0026amp; fuel you want to run.  Tuning also allows for better power at higher RPM where the factory ECU calibration falls off. The clutching allows for RPM to ramp up faster, and to reach those higher RPM where best power to the wheels is made in the real world.  Exhaust helps get rid of unneeded back pressure and heat to help run more boost at cooler temps, while gaining power.  The high flow intake also reduces temps and horsepower by providing less restricted airflow to the turbo.  This kit also includes the catch can which is a closed loop system which is the right way as you use the negative pressure from the intake to draw pressure out of the bottom end. The blow off valve helps to keep the turbo safe when running higher boost. If you have a stock X3 (performance parts wise) this kit is best combined with the Level 3 tune or higher.  With the catch can and BOV this kit has no problem running the highest level tunes. Gains shown and listed are for 2018-21 base power (139 RWHP).  Gains are even more impressive for the 2017 model as base power was 126 RWHP. The 2018-21 Maverick X3 172 base HP is a great machine with good power from the factory, but whey stop there?  This 3 cylinder turbocharged motor has so much more potential!  After many hours testing on the dyno, and even more testing in the real world, we have what we believe to be the best tunes on the market for the 2018-21 X3, or 2017 models with the upgraded fuel pump.  We modify many parameters and spent a TON of time fixing a few issues we saw from the factory when cranking up the boost. Not just dyno tested! We are avid riders and like the factory, a ton of the testing is done in the field to make sure you are getting 110%.  With data logging capabilities you can't get any better testing than real world.  Often times we can make significant changes to further increase power, drivability, and feel of the machine that can never be done on the dyno. We tune to max power for the fuel \u0026amp; supporting mods.  You won't find more power no matter what others claim. Tune Levels 1-5 are developed for OEM injectors.  Tune Level 6 requires our 1200cc injectors - If selecting Level 6 \u0026amp; 1200cc injectors, all other tunes will be built for 1200cc injectors. Level 1 (91-93 Octane): Designed for a completely stock X3 on 91 octane or better.  This tune runs an average of 15-16 PSI of boost and is a very safe tune to run on even 91 oxy\/ethanol fuel.  Gains are right around 10-12 RWHP .  Many competitors only offer a max pump gas tune and that simply does not work well without having a good quality 91 non-ethanol or 93 octane fuel.  If you run into poor quality fuel, your safety circuits will pull timing based on DET and can even go into a partial limp mode dropping you down to below stock boost levels.  Our Level 1 is a great tune to have available for such an event that you get bad fuel.. it still rips and just keeps pulling all day long, but won't push the limits as much.  Works well with a 100% stock machine or with a slip-on exhaust, cat delete, full exhaust, and\/or an intake kit. Wastegate Crack Pressure: No wastegate adjustment required for 2018-21 Models (7-8 PSI). 2017 models w\/18 fuel pumps adjust 2-3 turns. Level 2 (91-93 Octane): Designed for 91-93 octane and is our max tune on the stock exhaust.  This tune is absolutely nuts for being able to run on a bone stock X3..  Boost comes on hard and keeps pulling like an animal.  Peak boost is around 17-18 PSI, and settles down to roughly 16-17 PSI .  We spent a huge amount of time tuning and reviewing logs on pump gas to squeeze everything possible on 91 pump gas, and this is it. Gains are right around 18-20 RWHP . You simply can't find a more powerful tune on a stock X3 172 base. Suggested Mods: Full exhaust, high flow intake kit, clutch kit. Wastegate Crack Pressure: No wastegate adjustment required for 2018-21 models (7-8 PSI). 2017 models w\/18 fuel pumps shorten rod 2-3 turns (7-8 PSI). Level 3 (91-93 Octane): Puts the hammer down on 91-93 octane!  Like our Level 2, this tune simply rips on pump gas but requires a full exhaust and high flow intake to run 91 octane.  If you run 93 octane (or boost your 91 to 93) you can run this tune on the factory exhaust (however you'll be leaving power on the table). It will peak around 18-19 PSI and sustain around 17-17.5 PSI .  This is a big 23-25 RWHP gain over factory. Required Mods: Full exhaust and high flow intake kit. Suggested Mods: Clutch Kit Wastegate Crack Pressure: No wastegate adjustment required for 2018-21 models (7-8 PSI). 2017 models w\/18 fuel pumps shorten rod 2-3 turns (7-8 PSI). Level 4 (98-100 Octane): Adds a bit of race fuel to the mix!   This tune is designed for 98-100 octane (will run on UTV 96) and was developed using one can of VP Octanium Unleaded to a tank of fuel.  Mixing 110 race fuel with pump gas to get 100 octane works great, just keep in mind leaded fuels decreases the life of O2 sensors when running leaded fuel consistently. This tune runs around 18-18.5 PSI and produce up to 174 RWHP ( +33-35 RWHP ) and is extremely fast. Required Mods: Full exhaust and high flow intake kit. Suggested Mods: Clutch Kit Wastegate Crack Pressure: 2018-21 models shorten rod 2 turns (9 PSI).  2017 models w\/18 fuel pump shorten rod 4-5 turns (9 PSI). Level 4AV (100LL): Same as the Level 4 tune but designed to run 100 LL AV gas found at your local airport.  This fuel has a different specific gravity with additional oxygenation and other characteristics.  Running a tune not meant for this fuel can make it run lean and therefore you will not get the full power and potential from the fuel.  This tune modifies fuel tables to be able to run 100 LL AV gas and reap all the benefits. Level 5 (110 Octane): Kill mode is here!  This tune is developed for 110 Leaded or MS109 fuel (or better).  This tune is an absolute riot and will leave others in the dust!  We throw down a huge 185-190 RWHP ( +45-50 RWHP ) with this tune at 19-20 PSI of boost, with a wicked timing curve for the big octane fuel.  This one will throw you back in the seat as soon as you get on the throttle and keep pulling for days!  Hands down, this is the highest horsepower tune possible on the factory turbo\/wastegate \u0026amp; injectors. Required Mods: Full exhaust, high flow intake kit and clutch kit. Wastegate Crack Pressure: 2018-21 models shorten rod 5 turns (10-12 PSI).  2017 models w\/18 fuel pump shorten rod 7-8 turns (10-12 PSI). Level 6 (E-85): Kill mode squared is running on corn!  This E-85 tune packs as much of a punch, if not more, as the Level 5 tune but must be used with our big 1200cc injectors due to the extra fuel demand of E-85.  This tune is an absolute riot and will leave others in the dust. How to: Waste Gate Adjustment All our gas tunes are available on our large injectors, so there is no need to switch.  The only reason to go big injector is if you plan on running E-85.  If you don't plan on running E-85, just stick with the factory injectors. Max boost levels are listed as reference only. Altitude, temperature, charge temps, intercooler temps and many other conditions play into a factor of final boost output. AA tunes do a better job of making sure you reach these levels as the factory tunes are overly safe. This is the one most will run for maximum gains and runs 10-11 PSI of boost.   This will heat up air faster than a Level 1, so if you are going to hold it pinned for extended periods of time this might not be the best tune as it will de-tune based on intake temp.  However, for most 0-70 MPH bursts and on\/off throttle applications this is the tune to run.   Stock wastegate adjustment is fine for this tune. Fuel: 91-93 Octane Boost: 10-11 PSI HP: 150-155 Crank HP Wastegate Crack Pressure: Stock Level 3 (No intercooler): This is the 160-165 HP show off tune if you want to drag race your buddies that think the 120HP base can't keep up. We normally run 91-93 octane mixed with 1 can of VP Octanium unleaded in a full tank.  This tune runs an average of 18-18.5 PSI of boost with a hotter timing curve to pick up extra torque and HP. This tune is wicked fast!  **2018-19 models must have a high flow intake (2020-22 models already have a high flow intake).  Required mods: aftermarket exhaust (at least cat delete), clutch kit, Wastegate crack pressure should be 9-10 PSI.** Fuel: 98-100 Octane Boost: 18-18.5 PSI HP: 220 Crank HP Wastegate Crack Pressure: 9-10 PSI Level 4 AV (Intercooler w\/172HP fuel pump): This tune produces roughly 220 crank horsepower and has the same requirements as the original Level 4. We normally run MS109 as it's unleaded (longer O2 life).  This tune runs an average of 19-20 PSI of boost with an even hotter timing curve over Level 4 to further pick up extra torque and HP. This tune is crazy fast for the stock turbo!
