We have a huge amount of CVT knowledge, a great passion for the sport, and have many hours into testing different setups in the real world.  We know you'll be extremely pleased with the performance gain from our clutch kits!   The Pro-R comes with the biggest CVT clutch ever fitted on a UTV so far. It has unmatched cooling\/airflow to keep the longer belt cool, and some great features. However, this large diameter P90X clutch system still has some flaws.  The biggest problem with Pro R clutching is they do not have enough belt grip.  Just like the Pro XP\/Pro R\/RZR Turbo models, the secondary spring is too soft from the factory, but just adding a stiffer spring is not the correct solution.  It's the combination of parts that adds correct belt grip.  Our S2 kits help combat this with a stiffer secondary spring yet for even better belt grip, and the right primary weight\/spring to get proper RPM and keep belt grip up in the primary clutch.  We go from seeing a ton of black belt marks on the secondary, to almost nothing during long wide open throttle abuse testing. Clutch kits on the Pro-R ramp up RPM faster for better acceleration out of the 4 cylinder motor, making them accelerate much faster and quicker response Our S3 clutch kit will include everything the S2 does, but adds the helix.  The helix adds more aggressive shift to the secondary clutch which gives you even better acceleration gains and makes you feel more locked to the rear wheels. Kits work great with both stock or modified machines Works well with tire sizes 32\" to 35\" and paddles 30\" to 33\".  Setup sheet will include 37\" tire setup as well but this may require gear reduction for best results. If running larger tires than listed or gear reduction, please let us know before ordering. Our Recoil clutch weights are easily adjustable with simple magnets.  They have a custom AA profile, the BEST coating on the market(nitrocarburizing) which has increased wear resistance, improved fatigue strength, and added surface lubricity. These clutch weights also offer great performance and the ability to tune for many different applications or modification in the future, all without the need to buy extra parts.  The magnetic weights are the best option to properly place the mass where we need it on the weight for best performance for your application. An initial setup guideline is included which shows the best setups for most common tire or paddle sizes. It has unmatched cooling\/airflow to keep the longer belt cool, and some great features. While our tunes have been proven to work great with our shop vehicle and many others, some may have idle issues that need a revised tune.  Higher lift camshafts are very finicky at idle.  If you were to have idle issues, with the HP Tuners RTD we can deploy revised tunes quickly and easily whereas with a simple ECU flash that is not an option - you would need to send your ECU back for a reflash. Cams allow the vehicle to rev higher where the OEM cams fall off.  While these cams still make great torque\/power down load and all around, they are especially good for those riding in the dunes and wanting to clutch for 8500-8600 RPM.  The increased wheel speed helps in many situations, but again, dune riders will really benefit from the added RPM\/wheel speed. Others have tested these same cams and claim bigger gains. We are showing our honest dyno numbers, and we are very consistent\/particular on how we dyno these vehicles.  Others are showing gains at a higher RPM, and have inconsistent results.  Running over 8600 RPM will result in extra belt heat, and alternator issues.  This motor with these cams will make  a little more power at 8800-8900 RPM, but if the rest of the vehicle\/parts are not going to last, we simply won't show gains at that RPM. Cams are \"drop in\" which means that 95% of the time they will bolt in without having to shim the valves differently.  Keep in mind if your vehicle has a good deal of miles on it, and in rare cases, you may need to shim.  We always suggest checking your valve clearance after installation and keep in mind it may take a few days to order in new buckets\/shims.  This procedure along with cam removal\/installation is in your service manual. For installation we suggest referring to your service manual. This is key for reducing engine knock on this high compression and high RPM motor.   It's also needed to create higher horsepower levels.  Because this is a high compression motor, it has a huge amount of bottom end to spool the turbo quickly.  We use a low volume charge circuit so it fills with boost extremely fast, making lag in this kit virtually nonexistent. The turbo is a simple journal bearing and oil fed\/cooled.  This makes installation easier, keeps cost down, and is the most proven\/forgiving bearing for off-road.  We actually had problems with the turbo spooling too fast, so ball bearings are not needed, and we have no heat issues as backpressure is low, so water cooling is not needed for bearing life.  This turbo is assembled and balanced in the USA.    \u003c\/li\u003e\n  \u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eTuned via the AA\/HP Tuners RTD device. \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cu\u003eThis requires your ECU to be sent in to us(AA) or HP Tuners for a one time unlock unless purchasing ECU outright,\u003c\/u\u003e then the device can flash your ECU and change tunes at any time without needing to send it back.  This system allows you to receive tunes, updates, and data log via a smartphone application.  While we have the capability, a simple ECU flash will not be available for this kit as data logging and tune revisions can be a critical function to helping solve technical issues (if they were to arise).  **Currently data logging is only available via computer while a few glitches are worked out with HP tuners smartphone app, but tunes can be sent\/delivered to your RZR easily via your smartphone**\u003c\/li\u003e\n  \u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eSee our tune list below.\u003c\/strong\u003e  Keep in mind these vehicles are equipped with a knock sensor that will allow your ECU to pull up to 12 degrees of timing to protect the motor from potential failure.  In testing, we abuse this protection system like crazy with high boost on pump gas and have had zero issues.  However, the name of the game for maximum power is to stay off the knock protection system which reduces timing\/power.  HP tuners data logging allows you to look at knock retard and MANY other parameters to make sure your tune is running correctly and your fuel octane is adequate.  \n    \u003cul\u003e\n      \u003cli\u003e\n\u003cu\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eLevel 2 (91-93 Octane - 6-8 PSI - 291 RWHP\/350 crank HP)\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/u\u003e:  This is the tune most will love for all around riding and simply having wicked horsepower and being easy on your motor\/system.  It will also have the best fuel economy out of all our tune files.  It will use no air jet in the T fitting which provides the lowest possible boost pressure of this system.\u003c\/li\u003e\n      \u003cli\u003e\n\u003cu\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eLevel 3 (91-93 Octane - 8-10 PSI - 317 RWHP, 380-390 crank HP)\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/u\u003e:  Take level 2 but add a few lbs of boost.  This uses our largest hole jet regulator to add 1-2 PSI over level 2.  To achieve this on pump gas we have a richer fuel curve to stay away from engine knock protection.  This is pushing the limits of pump gas, so while it runs very well on 91-93 and you'd have no issues anywhere, a splash of octane boost when running hard (like in the dunes) helps keep you away from knock protection (ECU pulling timing\/power) from inadequate fuels.\u003c\/li\u003e\n      \u003cli\u003e\n\u003cu\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eLevel 4 (98-100 Octane - 10-12 PSI - 341-350 RWHP, 410-420 crank HP)\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/u\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e:\u003c\/strong\u003e  We really like our Level 4 tune as we use 1 can of VP Octanium per RZR tank of fuel, or a mix of 110\/pump gas. spring pressure only, so simply disconnect the wastegate hose.  Use caution with this tune and make sure PSI is around 20psi, and we suggest only running for racing purposes, not all day. the speed of this turbo due to the high RPM\/exhaust flow of this motor.  Our boost jets allow you to change boost levels in roughly the same time as it takes to flash the tune (minutes).  On Level 3 and higher, boost is regulated using air jets in a T fitting to step down the pressure going to the wastegate actuators when higher pressures are required.  This is a custom manual boost controller without the knob.  This makes for a more reliable boost regulation system than a manual boost controller or electronic controller.  \u003c\/li\u003e\n  \u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eThe intercooler:\u003c\/strong\u003e Water cooling is better than air!  Our water-to-air intercooler setup is industry leading as it has a small package size but cools the charge air extremely well.  With increased air intake temps, knock protection (timing retard) will kick in especially on pump gas tunes.  Our intercooler setup gives you the best chance to maintain peak power even on those long pulls.  This system also has minimal volume vs an air-to-air setup, making spool up much quicker.  The heat exchanger is filled with coolant that circulates to the intercooler via a pump, and has two fans included.  This requires wiring the low draw pump\/fans to either your pulse bar or the battery.\u003c\/li\u003e\n  \u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eThe blow off valve and catch can\u003c\/strong\u003e are both vented to atmosphere in this kit.   Both are located fairly high in the vehicle and always have positive pressure, so they can withstand the elements.  If riding deep mud, you can easily use 1\" hose and snorkel these items anywhere you'd like.  Our catch can and intake tube are built so you can install a 1\/2\" hose off the can and cap the 1\" filter on the top.  This makes it a closed loop system, but you will experience some oil in your charge circuit, and even more so when running the bigger tunes.\u003c\/li\u003e\n  \u003cli\u003eThis kit fits under the extremely important.  You can purchase our optional boost gauge to mount on the dash to make things very simple, but this does take time to route.  However, the RTD device included in this kit will allow you to record data logs and view data with your smartphone or laptop so you can calculate boost (or send them to us for review).  This is done by viewing gauges with the key on, engine OFF and looking at manifold absolute pressure which will be your atmospheric pressure.   Remember this value (normally around 14 if at sea level to 1500ft), then when running the vehicle at full throttle, subtract that value from the current manifold absolute pressure value.  For instance, our pressure is 14 with the key off and our manifold pressure at wide open throttle is 24.  This means we are running 10 PSI of boost.\u003c\/li\u003e\n  \u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eAir\/Fuel Ratio (AFR) Gauge:\u003c\/strong\u003e  Our tunes are set up with AFRs that are the perfect balance of power and engine safety.  The tunes are designed to allow the OEM ECU to compensate via correction factors for altitude and temperature changes.  However, having the optional AFR gauge helps you ensure your AFR is where it should be.  The OEM narrowband sensor in the exhaust does not allow us to see AFR, so an additional wideband module must be added to view this.  This is a big help if troubleshooting is Pump housing is assembled at the AA facility in the USA We highly suggest using a flashlight to look in the tank with the OEM pump removed.  Make sure you do not have any debris in the tank that would cause new pump failure and clean out the tank if need be. This pump has a simple design without a fuel bucket.  The OEM pump has a fuel bucket that fills from an external filter.  The idea behind the bucket design is to keep fuel sloshing down by filling a smaller space around the pump.  This design is complicated and harder to work on.  Since the filter sits vertically in the tank, it also means it will run out of fuel before a non bucket style design.   This is our reason for going to the non-bucket, traditional style design. Just FYI, our shop Pro R had a fuel pump fail at 1800 miles after sitting with E85 for 4-5 weeks.  The vehicle started running poorly on a ride, then started going through fuses.  No signs of excess debris in the tank, it was a simple pump failure. For proper installation procedure please refer to your service manual. Quick install tip:  These pumps are not as easy as other Polaris models to install.   You must remove the seat base bracket to gain enough access to the pump cover, and then the pump.  To do this, the plastic on either side of the center console must be removed. We suggest pulling the bracket up and holding it in place and not fully removing, it makes going back together easier.  Just pull it apart to gain enough clearance to pull\/install the pump.   This will vary with 2 vs. 4 seat models.   You can then remove the fuel pump retaining ring with our tool, or a screwdriver\/hammer. Developed with DynoJet with our own wiring, programming, tune and tech support To use this module, we highly suggest going to our AA primary clutch as the stock clutch may not be durable enough to handle launch control, especially anything over 2000 RPM.  **If using the OEM clutch with launch control, USE CAUTION** Knowing what launch RPM to choose : Launch control should always be used with caution and set up properly for your clutch engagement. Clutch engagement can be tested by having the vehicle in high range, then slowly pressing the gas pedal down while looking at RPM. The RPM where the vehicle starts to move is your engagement RPM. Test on flat ground a few times to make sure you get consistent results. We are looking for launch control to be right at engagement RPM. It's best to check this before purchasing the LCM, if possible.  Once you receive the module, we suggest double checking your engagement RPM\/launch RPM is correct by using launch control without holding the brake. The vehicle should just barely want to move if set up properly. If the vehicle is lurching and really trying to move, you need to get a higher stall spring, a fresh clutch spring, or lower launch RPM. 2000 RPM Launch: This launch RPM works with AA standard naturally aspirated clutch kits that engage at roughly 2000 RPM 2500 RPM Launch: This launch RPM works with AA turbo clutching engaging around 2500 RPM. To engage launch control, start the vehicle and make sure the vehicle is at an idle (module will not engage launch mode if vehicle is at over 1500 RPM). Now press and hold the launch switch while giving the vehicle throttle. Go full throttle and the vehicle should hold at your desired launch RPM. Most will hold the brake at the same time to keep vehicle from creeping forward. When ready to accelerate, drop the brake and launch switch at the same time and the vehicle will..... well launch! Adjusting Launch RPM : For more information on this, go to our tech section and read our post on using\/adjusting your LCM. Basic rundown is: Download the DynoJet C3 software (from dynojet.com\/downloads), plug in your LCM via the supplied USB, then go to \"Configure\", “Feature Enables and Inputs Selections” then click “Launch Control” and you’ll see target RPM.
