Catch Can System for Can-Am X3 2017-2025 - SHIFT Performance Labs

SHIFT Performance Labs teamed up with Mishimoto, the world leader in performance cooling products, to design high-performing solutions for the Can-Am X3. Using their extensive engineering ability/knowledge and our first-hand experience with X3 specifically, we have created the SPL/Mishimoto X3 Recirculating Catch Can.

Blow-by is an unavoidable side effect of forced induction. When pressurized gasses are recirculated through the PCV system, oil particles are carried in that air which causes your intake system and intake valves to become coated in oil. Over time this can lead to carbon buildup on valves and reducing octane levels in the combustion chamber by introducing oil to the air/fuel mixture.  The SPL Baffled Oil Catch Can prevents the issue by separating that oil mixture from the air returned to your intake system.

As air enters the catch can, it flows through the 50-micron bronze filter followed by the air diverter baffle, which helps capture those oily particles and allows them to condense until they become heavy enough to drip into the canister to be collected. This leaves the air flowing back into your intake system clean and ready to be burned again. The kit includes a billet 6061 aluminum can with black CNC-machined aluminum barbed fittings, a direct-fit steel powder-coated bracket, pre-formed application-specific hoses, and all required hardware for a clean and tidy installation on your X3. The can is also 100% washable, so you never have to worry about replacing the filtration system.

• The closed-circuit system uses vacuum from the intake to extract crankcase gases. If you use a vent to the atmosphere product, you are only getting positive pressure out of the crankcase. Our kit is pulling and cycling through more crankcase gases versus a vent-to-atmosphere system. No worries about outside water/moisture getting into your engine from an open air catch can
• Large 7.5oz reservoir that is mounted level with the ground means you don’t have to empty as often.
  
• Reservoir simply screws off and can be emptied away from your X3, avoiding a mess on and around you. 
• Our catch can does not require any maintenance of a cloth post or pre-filter.
• The catch can bracket uses a clamp system allowing for flexibility in where you mount your can to accommodate other modifications on the car. The bracket is 3mm-thick steel for durability and powder coated to prevent corrosion.
